Databases
Postgres here is a managed service with nightly backups, rather than a Postgres app you are responsible for running.
Plans are matched on CPU and memory, not on marketing tier names. Where a provider has no exact match, the nearest plan that meets the workload is used and the difference is stated.

DNS moves only once you sign off, with the Fly.io service kept warm as a rollback route.
Almost always, yes. We build the same image; what changes is that the platform manages placement, TLS, health and restarts rather than you describing them in fly.toml.
